"Mountain Fruit"
On Monday morning, June 19, 2017, I was wondering what value I could create or capture and deliver during the day. I tried to write a love song and then an article on revenue management. As I was not pleased with both drafts, I put them aside.
A friend was not tired in forwarding web stuff to me to laugh about. In the midst of the communications, there was a short story in Chinese entitled "Mountain Fruit". The narrative was not something to laugh about - it helped me rediscover my inner self.
I was so moved that I traced the origin of the literary work on the web. It was first published in 2012 and in 2016 someone wrote a song with the same name "Mountain Fruit". Instead of listening to the derivative song, I got better emotionally connected through the story's recitation via a mainland FM web radio.
I think we, being human, should not miss the story or the way it was told. I am using the only way I know to represent Chinese characters in my blog post. I think the author has created and delivered value, and it is up to us to capture it!
