"Goal & Role"

In March 2013, I had the mood to compose another sweet tune. Instead of waiting for another dream, I thought I had better compose it. And then one evening while I was waiting inside the car, I got the music of the verses of the song "Goal and Role."

Then I wrote the lyrics of the verses in Mandarin and spoken Cantonese. Later, I got the music for the chorus and wrote the part of the lyrics in English. The remaining challenge was to complete the chorus lyrics in Mandarin as it was impossible to rhyme it with any spoken Cantonese lyrics.

Days later, while I was strolling along the Victoria harbour, I got the remaining chorus lyrics. But when I played the song, I had some problems with the guitar accompaniment and I put aside the song. When I found the lyrics of the song on January 16, 2017, I quickly recorded and made a music video of it as I had nearly forgotten the song!
